 in response to Songster...   Thank you Songster. I checked Safeguard (now with metlife) and it isn't offered in Chicago. I've checked out many dental plans, unfortunately even with the discounted ones I still can't afford the difference as it still will be a few thousand. The Universities here are so backlogged they aren't answering their phones. The dental schools have also dried up as well as the clinics. If I moved to suburban Cook County i could get help, unfortunately it is not an option for me at this time.
I appreciate your input and welcome any other info, I will check them all out. (I am not looking for money!).

I am in desperate need of a dentist or oral surgeon. I am a 55 yr old woman who has congenital heart valve problems and need most of my teeth extracted. I have had 3 abscesses ( 2 in the last month). I can't eat anything but liquids and my all ready low weight has dropped. I have no job or source of income. I live in Chicago and have been to several low cost and one free clinic but can get no dental aid. I found a local dentist who gave me a full mouth xray and evaluation but even if I could afford the 6,000 for the dental surgery he won't do it without a doctors approval. I am going on Tues to a free clinic who said they would have a cardiologist see me, so I need to find some sort of free dental in Chicago or NW chicago ( I am able to travel). I have run out of resources so any info that any of you have found would be greatly appreciated! Thank you.
